Apologies for the lack of updates the past few days as I have been out of town… Our next guestblogger is Paul Fong, a fellow-Singaporean photoblogger who has been commenting on my pictures for quite a while already. Do take a look at his blog for new perspectives on common subjects that we might have missed in our day-to-day routine!

Image title: Lion City II

Name: Paul Fong

Location: Singapore

Website: http://pfong.blogspot.com/

Equipment: Nikon 885, Nikon D70

About your image: This is a recent shot taken at Mackenzie Road Singapore.

Your favourite subjects: Anything and everything, as I’m just starting to explore photography. Haven’t done much fashion model shooting in the studio yet though. Much as I’d like to :-)

How did you start out in photography? I started out posting travel snapshots to illustrate my blog. I soon realised that my shots were really, really crappy and decided that I should learn how to take better shots before embarassing myself on the wide web! Before long, I realised I was spending more time on the photography than on writing. I guess I just stumbled onto photography and it has become something of a passion. I wonder if it will last?

Are there any special themes/ideas that you like to convey in your pictures? It’s beauty I think. I’m delighted when I can spot something beautiful in the mundane. It gets even better when, rarely, I’m able to create something beautiful and not just take a picture of something that’s already beautiful.

Do you have any favourite places (in your local country or overseas) for taking pictures? Not really, I’m often challenged to find something beautiful or interesting wherever I happen to be.

Apart from your own photoblog, are there any others that you would like to recommend here? I’m happy when I discover a fellow photoblogger based in Singapore or blogs by Singapore photographers. I’ve got a page here of some that I’ve discovered.

Who would you like to dedicate this entry to? My long-suffering wife LC who has put up with this
obsession!
