“More Coke, please?”

"More Coke, please?"
Another long exposure effort… This particular picture was taken together with the previous one outside the ba kwa store in Chinatown. I had a hard time thinking of a title for this one. Luckily, CY came to the rescue once again with a short, but succinct title 😉

One of the alternatives we came out with was “1:3”, which can mean either: 1) One handphone to three persons, 2) One Coca-Cola to three or, 3) One umbrella for three people :P. I decided to stick with “More Coke, please?” since that came across as simple and punchy :D. What do you think?

  1. It’s truly amazin how you took those photos considering i know how busy that place can be. Actually, it’s rather unthinkable. Being a student, i hope i can free up some time and get to the queue early next week so i can get some of the famous meat for my parents. However, i seriously doubt i can frame any of these shots. =)

  2. Thanks Otto and jcyrhs.

jcyrhs: I think an element of luck helped in the shots here — I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time! I went to Chinatown with the intention of getting such pictures since I have had a previously good experience there before. I think it is important to get a good vantage point for a start, at least. People have actually asked me whether if I carry a high step-ladder with me wherever I go :P. In actual fact, I look for places with high vantage points such as balconies, bridges, stair landings etc. These help not only in providing a good view, but also frees you from the awkwardness of having to point a camera at people at close range. Good luck with the ba kwa shopping!
