Matchmade In Magenta

Matchmade In Magenta
A continuation of the Botanical Gardens series…

As I was busy composing my previous shot, Dad spotted this brightly coloured dragonfly perching on a water lily. A good thing about dragonflies — they tend to like posing still repeatedly on the same spot. I managed to squeeze off quite a number of pictures, refining the composition as I went along. This is one of those that I like (with the dragonfly pinsharp when I blow it up to 100% :)). I do have a portrait-orientated version of this with a different feel which I will post up within the next few posts.

  1. my eyes are failing me… the dragon fly blends in so nicely with the lotus…

The colours of the flower bathing in the low angle morning sun is gorgeous…
