This was shot at the jetty where I took my previous post. Again, the Red Rule came into play here. I have solarised the background of the image to make the subjects stand even further out in the picture.

Looking Away (from this photographer!)
This was taken during last month’s visit to the Changi Jetty. We arrived slightly earlier at the jetty after catching sunrise at Changi Coast to be rewarded by this scene of a brightly coloured red boat setting off. I had James Jordan’s Red Rule in mind when I shot this. I think the yellow t-shirt on one of the workers complimented the red rather well too. Compositionally, I am rather happy with the curved line I caught, formed by the arrangement of the boats. The warm light provided by the early rising sun lit up the scene perfectly for me. I wonder what the guys were looking at…
“Over Here!”
I spotted this potential spot for photography at Vivocity during my last visit but only finally got down to visit with my camera kit yesterday evening. Almost, similar in concept to the Bugis Junction fountain, lots of children come here every weekend to play. I was lucky to catch this little lady in action while her mother looked on from the side (with a ready change of clothes prepared for her).
