Another trip to the Botanical Gardens yesterday (with Dad and a group of junior college students) yielded some new pictures. This is the first of another series from the Botanical Gardens. The saturation and contrast has been boosted up significantly to get this final effect. Can anyone suggest a better title for this? I can’t seem to come up with a nice caption today…

I first took part in the inaugural Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition (NAPE) in 2005. My father was honoured then as the Photographer of the Year. This year, Mr Goh Peng Seng, a former Singapore Cultural Medallion winner, is the Photographer of the Year. NAPE 2006 is currently being held at the Ngee Ann Cultural Centre till 9 April 2006. I am honoured to have four of my prints on exhibition there: Unwavering Spirit, Glory Past, Budding Moments and Illumination By The Kapok Tree.

A landscape-orientated version of Unity taken at the Botanical Gardens, I like this particular one for the arrangement of the leaf blades, the patterns of the corresponding reflections, as well as the strong backlighting provided by the morning sun.
