Ripples Amongst The Green

Ripples Amongst The Green
This was taken during my last trip to the Botanical Gardens a while ago. I have been longing to go out to do some photography for some time but have been hampered by bad weather and a busy schedule at work. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to my vacation break in December when I will hopefully get some decent photography done when I visit New Zealand for the first time 🙂

Blooming Zamioculcas

Blooming Zamioculcas
Many Chinese believe that when a Zamioculcas plant blooms (a supposed rare sight), a big windfall will soon come along to the owners. Maybe it’s time for CY and me to go buy some lottery 😉

After holding out for Capture One 4.0 for much of 2007 and trying out the beta that has at long last been finally released, I wonder whether if I should have made the jump to Adobe Lightroom earlier. Although my first test of beta 4 (for Lightroom) didn’t turn out too well, Lightroom 1.1 is currently luring me during my 30-day evaluation of the program. One thing I like is the ease which I can convert RAW to monochrome. The above is one of the Lightroom conversions I tried on a shot I took at the Botanical Gardens in Glasgow.
