This is the alternative composition to my earlier post suggested by my dad, who was taking the same scene with his Canon Powershot IS2. This time the man was joined by his companion, which made for a slightly different feel to the original shot. Which composition do you like?
The same man from my earlier post… If this had been a apple tree, I might have named this “Modern Day Newton” :P. Dad suggested an alternative composition for this one which I will post up later for comparison. I personally like this one for the clean lines and simple composition. The lone figure added an element of human interest.
Dragonflies are in abundance by the reservoirs in Singapore. The last time I took one by the reservoir was this favourite of mine at MacRitchie Reservoir. I have been looking for a chance to take something along similar lines. Though not as clean in composition as my previous attempt, I like this one because of the reflections of the dragonfly and twigs. I only wished that the dragonfly was more colourful! In this instance, I had to boost the saturation on the dragonfly considerably to get the final effect.
