An unusual heatwave (the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2042838\/UK-heatwave-Hottest-end-September-1895-Temperature-soars-28C.html\">hottest end-September since 1895<\/a>!) greeted us when we arrived.
