I am not very sure whether if the jetty is still in use as the last time I went, construction of a new modern jetty terminal was already taking place, which is a pity for photographers wanting to capture similar rustic scenes of jetty workers at work. <\/p>\n
A decisive-moment picture, I managed to catch this man pulling on the ropes while trying to manoeuvre his boat out of its berth. I like the touch of warm sunlight on the man’s face as well the red t-shirt he was wearing. I think this helps to focus the viewers’ attention on him as the main subject, while the arrangement of the ropes helps to lead the eye across the picture. I realise that there is a man at the top right that some people might find distracting. However, I think that the man is hardly a problem since he is very subtly lit and wearing dull colours. Cropping away the man might not have worked here as it would have disrupted the lines and geometric-pattern arrangment of the boats evident at the bottom right of the picture. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/gallery\/may2003\/thumbs\/20030525-0063.jpg\"\/>","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","default_image_id":0,"font":"","enabled":false},"version":2}},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-27","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-candids","entry"],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_shortlink":"https:\/\/wp.me\/przUn-r","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=27"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2976,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/27\/revisions\/2976"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=27"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=27"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.elcreations.org\/engloy\/photoblog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=27"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
