\nI took this photograph recently at the Botanical Gardens and thought how much it reminded me of Dad’s later works, when he became increasingly interested in reflections and abstractions. I suppose some of his photographic eye has rubbed off on me.<\/p>\n

Photography has taught me that what we see isn’t always the whole picture. Much depends on our perspective and how we interpret what is in front of us.<\/p>\n

I think the same applies to people.<\/p>\n

Sometimes people forget things. Sometimes they get distracted or simply have other things on their minds. It doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t care, or that we’re any less important to them.<\/p>\n

We all have different personalities, priorities and ways of expressing affection. What matters greatly to one person may not carry the same significance for another.<\/p>\n

Perhaps life would be a little happier if we stopped taking everything so personally and learnt to give one another the benefit of the doubt.<\/p>\n
