Nun’s Story

To mark the official opening of my Exhibition today, I posted here a monochrome image captured in 1961. This image was one of the twelve monochrome print gained me the distinction of ARPS in Pictorial category (1964).

This is another image from my Tekka Market collections. I have been to a number of markets. I think Tekka Market still one my favourite place for candid photography. Reopening (this month) of the market after the renovation, I will still be able to get such a vantage point for my photography.

My previous outing to Sunda Kelapa, Jakarta, was rather rewarding. Besides capturing a number of images posted earlier, this is one that I like best. To get an accurate exposure is rather tricky here. Luckily the white of the sacks acted as a good reflector to reduce the high contrast.
