Shooting a side-lighting image with the bokeh effect is a good technique to achieve the 3-D impact. Capturing a right moment is always essential for a good image. Freezing the interacting moment certainly enhanced the image to a great extent. All these features are my observation before capturing an image with great visual impact
A colourful candid shot captured at the market in Solo, Indonesia. Usually, the lighting in such environment is always much dimmer. Shooting in digital format, the situation could be easily selected a setting to the higher ISO. Boosting up the colour and contrast could be carried out by post processing with soft ware such as Lightroom. This is definitely an advantage of shooting in digital format over photographic film format
Fishes for sell first thing in the morning, obviously the sale must be good. Before selling all the stock, the fish monger was already counting the collection from the previous sell. I decided to use a lightly higher angle to capture the pattern of the display. The colourful attires of the monger is one of the deciding factors for a colourful image. Most importantly, the story content of the image is essential feature to further boosting the visual impact.
