I used Photoshop to create the zoom effect that I had in mind. Placing the main subject in the center of the frame is intentional. This is one way of breaking the rule of composition and yet still maintain the visual impact of the image.
I had processed the original image with Photoshop years ago. Somehow I was not satisfied with the processed image. Recently, I reprocessed the image and achieved the result of my expectation. Originally, I quite like the image captured from my vantage angle in Venice, Italy.
The added sky with Photoshop as the backdrop apparently achieves the visual impact for the image to a greater extend. Most importantly, the story content is still essential for the interest of the image.
