Just return from Macau Fireworks Festival 2016, delighted to share with you another fireworks image in my collection. The competitor of this display was from Japan. I noted within the 20 minutes of display, their skill of presenting is really awesome! Note the super fine display of the fireworks. This is one of the best images of fireworks that I have ever captured. Two more sessions are coming up in the coming week. Anybody interested?
Usual practice of capturing fireworks display is to use bulb shutter for a time exposure of a few burst. Accuracy of exposure setting to capturing a good image is essential. Recently in capturing the display, I decided to set a short duration of exposure coupled with a fairly small aperture setting. I also selected low ISO setting. The result shown here was captured within a single frame. To me, there is no rigid rules to follow in exposure setting. Your exposure setting varies according to your situation in obtaining an optimum result.
On a Sunday morning, I spotted the photographer standing in the middle of road junction shooting images of Hong Kong. Obviously this scene is a fine subject for my travel photography. Waited for the bus and the tram to come by. The photographer framed by the vehicles is just a perfect setting for me. All these element complete my image of travel photography for Hong Kong.
