To witness the production of Batik, the traditional fabric of Indonesia, in a factory is a very interesting tour. Then, I realize the amount of work involved in the production. Before I left the factory in Solo, Central Java, I stepped into the washing room. I discovered that was the most colourful place for my photographic session.This was an image captured during the 2013 Nusantara Photo Club Annual Meeting.
I think in our modern IT world, face to face contact is what we are lacking. SMS is convenient but nothing compare to personal direct communicate. I captured this interesting image during my visit to one of the villages of Solo, Central Java.
My challenge here is to observe and response to such a decisive moment. To me such a moment is the important factor in the world of photographic art.
I was attracted by the expression of the child, the sparkling eyes and the reflected light. All these elements to me are essential factors of a good image. The story content of the image definitely is still the main core of the whole image. I captured this image at the 2011 Nusantara Photo Club Annual Meeting in Lombok, Indonesia.
