I started the year of 2012 with a visit to UK (Glasgow & London). Glad to stay with EL & CY in their cosy rented apartment in London.
The brief visit gave me an opportunity of dropping by at Southbank,London. Though the weather was cold, bright afternoon sunlight was a rewarding factor. I was attracted by the act of the lady photographer at this location. I decided to utilise the advantage of a wide-angle lens to achieve the greater visual impact. The design and composition of this image is quite obvious.

Fun At Bantimurung Waterfall
Bantimmurung Waterfall was one of the destinations for the finalist of the 2011 Garuda Indonesia International Photo Contest. The waterfall is also known as the “Kingdom of Butterflies”. Unfortunately, there was not many to be seen during our visit. Nevertheless, this location provided good opportunity for capturing images of children having fun at the stunning waterfall.

Makassar Fire Dance
The 2011 Garuda Indonesia International Photo Contest Final Round was held in Makassar, Ujung Pandang, December, last year. As a member of the panel of judges, I had an opportunity of visiting Markassar, Indonesia after a break of 10 years.
I captured this image at one of the sessions specially arranged for the finalist. I think is essential to synchronize the peak action of the performance with the precision timing of clicking the shutter for this image. I especially like the musicians in the backdrop that blended well with main subject.
