Lost In A Busy City

After my morning session for the “Let’s Cross Together”, I decided to explore the park opposite my hotel at Le Lai,Ho Chi Minh City. I captured this image during the peak hour of the evening. As you could see the congestion of traffic, especially for the motor riders, is fantastic. Though it is just a street scene, I was fortunate to come across interesting subject warmth lit by the evening light. In order to enhance the visual impact of whole image further I used slower shutter speed deliberately.
“Watching The Traffic Go By” is a similar image of this busy city captured by Eng Loy in 2008.

It was only 7:30 am. The bustle and hassle of the street of Ho Chi Minh City was not really started yet. From the top floor of my hotel, I captured this colourful image of light and shadow of the street scene of South Vietnam. Though I was associated with a Vietnam’s photographic society more than thirty years, I have never visit this colourful ASEAN country until last week. I will share with you more images of Vietnam later at this site.

A post-judging outing of the Garuda Indonesia International Photo Contest 2008 in Bali, gave me an opportunity of capturing this image at a religious ceremony. Candid photography is one my favorite branch of photography. Simply, what is happening in front the lens will just perish within a split of a second. Always, that is a decisive moment you have to capture. I am back in Jakarta at this moment for the Garuda Indonesia International Photo Contest 2009 event. I sincerely like to thank the organiser for inviting me again.
