Obviously, I had a fabulous time at pasar ikan, Kedonganan, Bali. Not long after “Returned Before The Moon Is Set” was captured, I managed to shoot another favourite image. The colour and formation of the cloud was rather great. In contrast, the group of fishermen, though not brightly lit, returning from their early harvest is a powerful attraction for the entire image.
I captured this image just at the doorstep of the Merseyside Maritime Museum at Albert Dock, Liverpool, during my visit in last June.
Initially, I was attracted by the quality of light and shadow of the scene. I squeezed the shutter when the decisive moment happened.
In June last year, my second outing to the Isle of Skye was a wet one. The raining day didn’t clear up until the end of the day. I managed to capture this image when the sky starting to clear. Though the lighting was still on the softer end, I like the scene created by the sudden change of the weather. The bird that flew into the picture added visual impact in addition to the building that occupied the site.
