I captured this image during my trip to California Coastal area near San Francisco. Hauling-out is the behaviour associated with sea lions temporary leaving the water between periods of foraging activity for site on land. I was fortunate to have the brilliant morning light providing the perfect saturation for the image.
This is another image of heron that I captured at the Reagent’s Park, London. I love the brilliant morning lighting and the gorgeous colour of the bird. The subdued green backdrop has enhanced the impact of the colour of the image further.
“Do not feed the grey herons” is the notice given by the Park.
