Breathtaking Architecture Of Arkadi Monastery

The Arkadi Monastery (in Greek: / Moní Arkadhíou) is an Eastern Orthodox monastery, situated on a fertile plateau 23 km (14 mi) to the southeast of Rethymnon on the island of Crete in Greece.The current catholicon (church) dates back to the 16th century and is marked by the influence of the Renaissance. This influence is visible in the architecture, which mixes both Roman and baroque elements. Overhere, I have utilised the Venetian Arches to framed the main building of the Arkadi Monastery to achieve a greater depth for the image.

Santorini Island, Greece, is one of the famous islands in the world. To me, to capture the uniqueness of the architecture of this island may require days of travel. What is shown here is just the result of a brief stop. The recent schedule of the 4th GPU Photo Festival will not do justice to this beautiful island.

The Island Of Wind

The island of Mykonos is one of the attractions of Greece. One of the icons is the windmills on the island. The windmills are a defining feature of the Mykonian landscape. To me, Greece is a beautiful country flooded with tourists. Unfortunately, the country is facing financial crisis in the EU. I had the opportunity of participating the 4th Photo Festival 2017 organised by The GPU from 13 to 23 July. I will share with you more images on this website.
