Calm Water Of Buttermere

Calm Water Of Buttermere
Recently, on arriving Buttermere, Cumbria, UK, I encountered this beautiful scene of the lake. Not long after I captured this image, the breeze set in. All the reflections of the water disappeared within a split of seconds. I think what make landscape photography challenging to a photographer is the ever changing mood of the site. Act quickly whenever the condition is favorable to you. Otherwise, you will miss an image forever.

A Distant View Of Llyn Gwynant

A Distant View Of Llyn Gwynant
Llyn Gwynant, Snowdonia, Wales, is a beautiful lake even seen at a distance. I love the touch of light on the slope. Such a lighting condition disappears very quickly but adds sparkles to the image. The mood of scene is just right for this beautiful area. Previous day on arrival at this site, I have seen this area fully bathed in the late afternoon sunlight. It was just too glare and harsh for capturing a good landscape image.
Lighting really plays an important role in landscape photography.

From One End To Another

Fom One End To Another
I love the beauty of Windermere, Cumbria, Lake District, UK, especially at dawn. While the whole world is still having sweet dream, the swan are already active in the lake. While I captured this image, northern UK was flooded due to heavy shower. As seen here, the wooden path leading to the jetty was also immersed in the water. Comparing to my previous posting, the scene really looked different.
