A close up view of “ Crater Of Kawah Putih”, located at about 30 km to the south of Bandung, West Java – Indonesia. This is one of the crater lakes formed by explosive excavation. The water with an approximate depth of 8m is hyperacid. The condition of the water is the result from the condensation of SO2, H, S, and HCL gases near the lake bottom.
Obviously, the chemical content of the lake has affected the colour of the water.
If you like “Falls Of Duchart, Killin”, you may also love to see this view of Falls Of Dochart as well. Though the amount of water is lesser here, I think the shapes and lines of rocks formation are as spectacular.
A visit to Bayongbon, Indonesia, was one of itinerary of the Nusantara Photo Club outing in last August. After a night stay at Garut, the morning sun casting a warmer touch for the landscape of the Bayongbon greeted us. I utilised the silhouette of bamboo trees to frame the scene of the distant mountain. I love the tranquil mood of this image depicting the peacefulness of this farming area.
