Good Earth

Good Earth 2006
“Bromo, Land of the Fire God” is an invitational exhibition organized by Pak Sigit Pramono. The exhibition featured 25 photographers coming from different disciplines and professions presents visual messages in celebration of the Tenggerese people, culture, environment and existence. This is one of my two contributions in this invitational exhibition that has been launched at the Gallery of the Java Banana Bromo Lodge on the 15th November 2008. The exhibition will be held until Feb. 2009. Thereafter, the exhibition will move to Jakarta for another month.
The other of my contribution in this exhibition is “Smoking Craters” posted earlier in this web.

Lost Direction

Lost Direction 2006
I captured this image two years ago during my last visit to Mount Bromo, East Java. When we mentioned Mount Bromo, usually we would have a perception of a misty scene with tourists and horses at the location. Besides caturing the usual stuff, I came across this dog wondering about in the misty morning. “Negotiable?” “Magnifient View From Penanjakan” and “Misty Bromo” posted earlier are just some of the images that I captured at the same attraction during my previous trips.

Blooming Russell Lupins

Blooming Russell Lupins
After seeing a number of wild flowers and flowers in the gardens of UK recently, I think the Russell Lupins in New Zealand are still very unique. For this image, I had to use a very low shooting angle in order to avoid the distractions from the shore. Using small aperture to achieve greater depth of field is apparently essential in good landscape photography.

“Russell Lupins Bloom At Lake Tekapo” posted earlier is another image taken at he same location.
