I captured this image at the road side, on our way to Alamosa,Colorado, USA.
As I ever mentioned before “The beauty of nature is not lasting forever”, I think this group of aspen trees clearly shown another stage in nature. As seen here, the colourful autumn of of the backdrop still plays an important roll in contrast to the dried trees.
I fully utilized the overcast soft lighting condition to achieve sufficient contrast for the image. Another sample of of the impact of such lighting condition is clearly demonstrated in my previous posting.

Another image of a dried tree, this time was captured at the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park, Colorado, USA.
As seen here, the Canyon actually is not completely black. Viewing the Canyon at a closer distance, actually there are many attractive colourful rocks. To me, it is amazing to see such a magnificent landscape formed by nature.

If nature subject is your cup of tea, I think you would be fancy to visit Paint Mines Interpretive Park. The fantastic geological formations is a place for nature wonder. Spending half a day here, with the luck of having good lighting condition, you may end up with numerous colourful images to show the majesty of the Park. I utilized the 14mm lens to create the greater depth to this nature creation. Perhaps, this answer the question of how useful is a super wide angle lens in photography. This is another trip of the 2011 PSA Annual Conference, Colorado Springs, USA.
