Last One To Return To Amed

Last One To Return To Amed
Last trip to Amed,Bali in 2010, I was not able to capture another image of “Returning To Amed”. Most probably due to the unfavorable weather, the fishermen were not out to fishing that very morning. Nevertheless, I am quite pleased with this image from my vantage angle. Besides that, I had also captured “Morning Glory Of Amed” in the same morning.
My usual practice in photography is to return to the same location on different visit to search for new inspiration. This 3rd trip to Amed is no exception.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb
Before I reached Mount Bromo, East Java, in 2008, I captured this interesting image. Carefully looking at this image, I realize it is very simple. Dots, lines, shapes and colour are the main elements of this image. The most important among all, is the happening within the split of second.
Recently, at the SJII Photo Auction and Photo Contest (Feb,2012), I was asked why my choice of the top award is an image that is very simple. I think this image shown here illustrated well the importance of simplicity in imaging.

When The Sun Rises In The Valley

When The Sun Rises In The Valley
In 2011, on my way to Colorado,USA, I decided to visit the Arches Canyon for the 2nd time. “Delicate Arch At Moon Rise” was an image that I captured in 2009. This time I decided to view the Delicate Arch from the opposite end. I realized that the valley bathed in the morning light was equally magnificent. The climb over this end was less tiring compared to my last experience stated in the previous posting.
