One of the trips for 2011 PSA Annual Convention, Colorado Springs,USA, is to reach the Pikes Peak. At an elevation of 14115 ft, one has to be fit to be up there. One thing for sure is that oxygen up there is really thin. But is a trip that worth experienced.
As a matter of facts, Autumn in Colorado, USA is really marvelous. We decided to explore another AAA designated scenic byway from Alamosa to Canon City. Finally, we landed at the Lake Isabel, Colorado, in the afternoon. Waited for a while before the spell of afternoon light appeared. I could not ask for more for such a scene that appeared in front of me. I think I got all the excellent elements of good landscape image for me to add on to my collections.
While driving along the Interstate Highway 70 (AAA designated Scenic byway) towards the Carbondale, I was attracted by the beauty of the Summit. What more picturesque is the opposite site of the Summit. The colour of aspen trees were gorgeous and the afternoon light was so brilliant. I managed to capture this scene through the window even without getting out of my car. The touch of light on the distant mountain has enhanced the image to a greater extent.
