Another image that I captured at the Bertais Market, Lombok. The title is actually an literally translation of a saying in Chinese. The moment to me, was a split of a second to capture the image. I like the light and shadow situation that enhanced the visual impact.
On our way to Sembalun (the highland about 1500m above sea level), Lombok, we came across a farmland under cultivation. Photographically, first impression of the farmers at work was not striking. Not until they started to burn some straws. Though such a practice polluted the air. The atmosphere thus created surely enhancing the image with a stronger visual impact.
This is another image that has to be captured at the right place at the right time.
Bertais Market, Lombok is actually a good location if candid photography is your cup of tea. The market is the biggest traditional market in Lombok. Greeted by the friendly locals, I think is the best way of submerging yourself into the local culture. I captured this decisive moment during my visit recently. I love the warmth touch of the morning light in addition to the expression of the woman.
