To me, such a scene is hard to come by. We were fortunate to come across on the way to a village in Sumba, Indonesia. As a matter of fact, I have seen rainbow in the sky of UK, Australia, New Zealand and capture the images. I think the subject in the lower portion of this image is further enhanced the visual impact. I am lucky to have them in the image just at the right time and at the right place.
In contrast to my previous posting, I like this colourful image of Sumba. Though is a setting created during our shooting session. I particularly prefer the decisive moment of the dog dashing into the picture. Obviously, the dog would not like to be left out when all the women were moving along the path. This is the moment that make the setting even more natural. What do you think?
Our main aim of visiting Tambolaka, Sumba, Indonesia, was to capture the Pasolar. Due to the cancellation of our flight from Denpasar, we missed the event. Nevertheless, we had a good time of capturing the heritage of Sumba instead. The primitive life style will definitely diminish with the further development of the place. Perhaps with the black and white creative antique greyscales setting is more suitable for this image. Would show you another colourful image at another posting. The effort of Dr. Edwin Djuanda and Agatha specially arranged this outing is greatly appreciated. Our host, Pak Hengky Mahenu’s hospitality has also made us feel at home.
