A View Of Lake Toba From Tele

When the sun rose higher and hidden behind the cloud, the colour and richness of the sky distinctively enhanced the image further. As shown here, layers in landscape image are important factors. From the same location of my previous posting, I just aimed my angle more to the right to capture another view of Lake Toba. To scarify your sleep for a fruitful outing at dawn is always a worthwhile decision for landscape photographer.

Dispersing Cloud Of Lake Toba

Our plan was to arrive Tele before dawn in order to capture the amazing landscape of Lake Toba. We started our journey on the road about 7:00 pm, from Medan, North Sumatra. After traveling for more than eight hours, we finally arrived at Tele, Lake Toba about 4:00 am. In spite of the gloomy morning, I am quite pleased with this image that I captured. I love the fast changing scene and colour of the landscape.
I remember years ago, Lake Toba was one of the favorite destinations for honeymoon from Singapore. Obviously, most of the people have forgotten about this amazing location. Most probably is due to the condition of rough journey from Medan. Nevertheless, I still think the lake is another paradise in Indonesia for landscape photographer.

I sincerely would like to thank Pak Peter Chandra, Pak David J. Seares, Pak Budi, Pak Goenadi, Pak Halkin, Pak Tatang and all other members (total number of 15, pardon me for not mention all) of the group for inviting me to join this outing (3rd to 8th Dec. 2010). It is one of the most enjoyable trips that I have ever made.

Netherlands Pavilion By Night

This is another colourful image that I have captured during my 3rd visit to Expo 2010. The Netherlands Pavilion, is known as “Happy Street”. The impact of ambient light on 2 of the 26 small houses along the street is out of my expectation. What is not really vivid in the day, could be very brilliant when the light is turned on.
Capturing the night scene of the Expo 2010, was obviously my main aim of being there.
