A morning walk through the geyser basin at the edge of Yellowstone Lake at West Thumb is a good location for scenic landscape. Though West Thumb is one of the smallest geyser basins in Yellowstone yet along the shore is one of the most scenic area of Yellowstone Lake.

This is an image that I captured at the Olmsted Point, Yosemite National Park. I am sure you would be able to note that the root of the tree actually cut into the boulder. The adaption for survival in nature is quite dominant. Olmsted Point is a location that you should not miss if you like to enjoy an amazing view of the South-West direction of the Park.
