Trishaws in Indonesia is better known as becaks. Different designs of Becak in Java actually are interesting subject for photography. A close up view of a part of becak captured during my recent visit to Bandung reveals the design is a very unique and colourful art deco.
To me this is a common scene but really colourful one in the city of Bandung. The stall keeper in silhouette attracted me to capture this image. Being a Sunday morning, business was apparently lacking. What a best time to relax before the peak hour of noon arrived! The movement of the car included at the edge of the frame on the left indicates this is a busy location along a street of Bandung.
This is another colourful image from my recent visit to Lembang, West Java. Most probably you may think that I have a model to set up the image to my liking. On the contradictory, this lady is actually the owner of the fruit stall at the market place.
I just managed to capture the decisive moment while she was busy with her daily task. Obviously, proper make up and well dressed for the business is a good setting for such a colourful stall.
