A candid image that I captured along the road side in North Vietnam. The late afternoon low light provided the warmth touch on the subject. The typical dress of a tribe shows the identification of the place for a photo travel image. The subdued backdrop created a good contrast. I think such a scene is not easy to come by especially for photo travel.
Come across a tea plantation in North Vietnam. Comparing the site with the one that I have seen in Sri Lanka or Indonesia, is not a huge one. Nevertheless, I still be able to find a vantage angle to make full use of the lines to compose my image. The roll of the colourful tea pickers is obviously enhancing the image to a great extend.
I think ”出污泥而不染“, the Chinese version of describing “Above the mud and not contaminated”, is suitable for this image。Though the surface of the water is polluted and actually the mud is not shown in this image. I captured this image during my visit to the West Lake of Hanoi, Vietnam. It is interesting to observe the environment of the lotus pond of the West Lake and ended up with an image of the greenery. I love the colour and pattern of the entire image.
