One of heritage attractions in George Town, Penang, Malaysia is none other than Clan Jetties. The history of the quay could be traced back to 1882 when the jetties were build. All jetties are named after a Chinese clan. Tan jetty is one of six jetties that remains. Certainly, the jetties of George Town, Penang are worth visiting if you are interested in the history of Penan
When I managed to visit 西塘 （汕头澄海名园),(始建于清嘉庆四年,1799年, 光绪年间再延师按苏州园林式样扩建)。Xi Tang (constructed in 1799),Shantau, China,recently, unfortunately the garden is already abandoned. What mentioned in the Trip adviser was already outdated. Nevertheless, I managed to capture a number of images of the deserted lotus pond. One of them that I like best is shown here. I like the contrast between the green leaf and reflected image of lotus leaves. To me,this is an image that is extraordinary even at an abandoned place.
The Marlborough Sounds, are an extensive network of sea-drowned valleys at the north end of the South Island of New Zealand. Cruising across this scenic location is a relaxation that worth experienced. Bonus to me was to capture another awesome image from a vantage angle during the cruise. It was our most enjoyable trip to New Zealand in 2013.
