Similar to “Setting Out To Lake Batur”, I have to work with my experience when the light meter failed me. I have managed to capture this image with fairly accurate in exposure. Due to the high-density ratio, I have to use the digital blending technique in order to retain sufficient detail of the shade.
In contrast to my previous posting, I decided to shoot against the light for this image. I have applied the dodge tool of Adobe to retain the colours of the sail of the boat on the front line.
The visual impact of the final result is totally different. Which one you like best, perhaps is just a matter of personal taste.
Amed is one of my favourite locations for photographic outing in Bali. I am glad the recent outing of the Nusantara Photo Club has included this place as one of the itinerary.
