I would like to share with you this image that I captured at a vantage point during my visit to Bali in 2003. Despite the strong wind of the Bali Sea, it was a fruitful morning flooded with images of typical Balinese fishing boats returning after their early catch. The morning sun glazed the sails with sparkles.
One of the views from the Pernajakan area overlooking the cliff facing Mount Bromo, East Java… I find this very picturesque especially when the clouds had settled down in the valley during the night. I like the mood and the curves formed by the edge of the cliff.
Top lighting condition may not be favourable for most subject matters in photography, but this case is an exception. The sparkling water and higher lighting ratio has actually created a much stronger visual impact for this image.
