When the cloud laid low and created a dramatic visual impact, I decided to capture another landscape enriched with mood. Perhaps such a scene is common for a mountaineer. For a city dweller like me, it is another opportunity of freezing the decisive moment into an eye-catching image.
You may have heard about the Old Man Of Coniston. This image was captured around the region. At first sight, I was attracted by the autumn colour of the mountain range. The patchy lighting condition allowed me to capture the landscape into several layers of light and shade. In one-way or another, the sense of depth of the image is thus greatly enhanced.
To me, good colour contrast, greater ratio of lighting is the main factors of a good image of landscape. Such a moment is difficult to come by especially when you are on the road. This was another image that I decided to stop by the roadside and captured before I continued the journey.
