In August 2003, the International Balloon Fiesta of Bristol celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a series of exciting and attractive events. This picture was taken in an earlier event in the year 2000 though, when I visited Bristo, UK. This was one of the “night-glow” images that I captured during the Fiesta.
It was really freezing dumb cold! At least, for a person like me from a tropical country like Singapore. I had a good time spending a week here in Thymouth, UK though. I must thank my host (Mrs. Jane H Black,Hon. Exhibiton Chairman) of the Northern Counties Salon for putting me in a hotel right facing this beautiful seascape across the road. I preoccupied myself with taking pictures of the powerful and dramatic scene before judging the 1996 Northern Counties International Salon,UK. I love the lighting and contrast of the image. The vigorous waves provided the image with strong visual impact.
This is my first impression of Stone Heaven, near Aberdeen in Scotland. Winter in Scotland is always wet and gloomy. My first visit there in 1993 was of no exception. I was really lucky to experience this sudden break of sunlight which provided me with the opportunity to capture this dramatic landscape image.
