Counting down to my Exhibition beginning on 21st August, I like to share with you another old monochrome image of mine. This was also another acceptance of the London Salon in 1964.
I remember I was at Lorong Tai Seng, a favourite place for Sunday photographic outing. I was fortunate to be at the scene. At that time, I only had one last frame left in my camera. After capturing this image, before I could load a new roll of film into my camera, such an arrangement changed within a split of a second. In those days, keeping the last frame for the decisive moment was my usual habit. The last frame was always captured the best image of the whole roll!

After A Shower

2009 16 07 After A Shower 1962 Exhibited London Salon 1
To gain an acceptance in the London Salon in the sixties was an achievement in photographic art. My record shows that this monochrome print was one of the 3 acceptances out of the 4 monochrome prints that I submitted in 1964 London Salon. After a lapse of 45 years, I still quite like the print. This is also one of the prints that I will exhibit in my coming “Painting With Light and Shadow-A 50 Year Chronicle”. You are welcome to visit the Exhibition.
