Vibrant Colour Of A Reflection

I went back to Shantou, China on 14 Oct. 2016, after a lap of 74 years, finally back to find my root. My observation of Shantou was very impressive. I was attracted by the high rise buildings of the modern city. Besides captured the image of actual buildings, I was more fascinated with the vibrant colours of the building’s reflection in the water. To me, an illusion of the modern building is better than seeing an image of the actual one.

Two To Form A Team

During the years of sixties, my favourite of montaging a blue Diazo chrome film on the original image of the colour transparency to create a bas relief effect was the fruitful result of hard work. At present, a click of mouse with proper application of Photoshop, such an effect could be achieved without tears. Perhaps , if such high techs was available in those days, my passion of photography may not be so challenging. Most importantly, the perception and concept of capturing an outstanding image remains as individual. To me, capturing and freezing an image within a split of a second is still the upmost important requirement in photography. I captured this image in Shantou, China on 15 Oct. 2016.

Dark Clouds Gathered In The Sky

I captured this image of Upper Seletar Reservoir almost at the same time of “Dispersing Light Of A Landscape” on Christmas day, 2020. My perception for this image was more on the clouds pattern together with the dispersing light. Using a wide-angle lens on the camera for this image captured a total different visual impact. This is also one of my principles of practicing photography as a passion. Which image you like best perhaps is just a personal preference.
