The slum of a city has to be demolished in order to redevelop the area. Such an urban renewal in the old town of Shantou, China, provided me with a good subject for photography. I like the contrast of the slum against the backdrop of the newly built highrise building. By no time, such a scene will disappear gradually with the progress of urban renewal.
From the hilltop at the Papuma, Jember, East Java, Indonesia, I captured this image of the spectacular scenery of Papuma. The first soft light of the day just touched the rock which I think is the icon of Papuma. I decided to use a time exposure of 25 seconds for this shot. I love this gorgeous end result of the landscape of Papuma.
Papuma Beach, Jember, East Java, Indonesia is a very beautiful scenic beach with white sand (swimming is not recommended) and many traditional fishing boats. The natural scenery of Papuma Beach is an attraction for tourists and photographers. Large rocks rising from the ocean provide an opportunity for capturing spectacular shots. To capture Jember Fashion Carnival and follow by visiting Papuma Beach is a wise combination. As shown here, it is a scenic location for capturing the sunset.
