Noted the activity of the dragonfly at the Upper Peirce Reservoir on 20 10 2023, I decided to change my approach of capturing the image. Set a slower shutter speed and waited for the right moment to happen. Fortunately, the dragonfly flew into the ideal position to complete the image that I had in mind.
My perception was on the golden ripples formed on the surface of the water. From my vantage angle, the trees in silhouette were carefully selected to frame the image to achieve a greater depth of field. The misty environment further enhanced the serenity mood of the image.

The stunning impact that created was one of the rare occasions that I had ever experience. It was my reward for scarified hour of sleep to “catches the worm as an early bird”.
