The Gorgeous Magnolia

I mounted the camera on a tripod and set my camera for the multi-exposure mode. Selected 10 exposures on a single image and set on the self-timer mode. Moved the camera 9 times horizontally during the exposure time. The overlapping image shown here is a remarkable abstract of colour, lines and shapes. I captured this image day before yesterday at the Gardens By The Bay. I have turned the Magnolia flowers into an abstract image. Most importantly, the repetitive pattern of the image is very dominant. The “Illusion Of A Blooming Tree” was the other abstract image captured with the similar technique on multiple exposures.

Glittering Crystals

When I was trying to capture “Crystal Cloud”in Yen Bai province, North Vietnam, focusing of my camera kept moving in and out before proper focus could be achieved. I noted the out of focus of the glittering from the crystals were quite interesting. Then, I decided to set the lens out of focus. Capture the glittering of the crystals when that happened. To me, the end result shown here is quite fascinating. It is a colourful image that beyond my expectation.

Selected Best

Visiting Vietnam twice within three months is a record to me. My trip in July, I decided to explore Hoi An, other than Danang and Ho Chi Minh. I think The lantern is an icon of Hoi An, Vietnam. This gorgeous image of the lantern was captured in the old town of Hoi An.
Have you noticed that the lady has selected a colourful lantern similar to the colour of her hair? To me is just a coincidence to capture the image in the right place at the right time. Most importantly, the black colour of the backdrop and the lady’s dress provides a good colour contrast for the beautiful display of the lantern.
