In this image, the colour, pattern and textures are quite obvious and very powerful. I captured this image at the Yellowstone National Park, USA in 2009. I think is up to you to select and capture the image according to your perception.
I like to capture the floral parts in close distance. The fully blooming flower gave me such an opportunity to do so. Most importantly, you have to be sure that the depth of field is sufficient to capture the various parts of the flower in extreme sharpness.
The beauty of the Yellowstone National Park is endless. As seen here, such a scene of richness in pictorial value is readily available. It is up to you to explore. Though I already have numerous images of my liking and yet I am looking forward to visit the Park again in this coming September.
