It is obvious that autumn is here. This is an image that I captured during the visit to the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow, ten days ago. I used an unusual vantage point and a wide-angle lens to emphasize the mood of autumn. I think the touch of colour leaves is one of the essential elements for this image.
My 2nd visit in UK this year, during September-October, is again another fruitful session. This image was captured at Queen’s View, Loch Tummel. My initial expectation is to have another image of the loch with autumn colour. Unfortunately, this third visit of mine at this location was too early for the falls colour. Instead, I ended up with another image with dramatic visual impact. In comparing with“Autumn At Queen’s View” captured almost at the same location, you will realise the big difference between the two images. Personally, I quite like the simplicity and the back lit condition of the scene. I also love the little touch of colour in contrast with the strong monochromatic setting.
As mentioned in my previous posting of “Leading Path”, this is my new inspiration of “Falls Of Dochart, Killin”. I am quite like the little flowers at the lower left corner of the image. The touch of yellow aptly enhanced the image with much greater visual impact.
I am back in UK again after my last visit in August. Hope to capture the colour of the falls for my present visit.
