The elegant of the dark black ground and the pleasing shape of the plant are all the main unique features of this image of nature study. On top of all, the lighting condition is the main booster of the stunning image. Fortunately, to have the dragonfly perched on the right location to complete the story of the nature image.
The appreciation of lighting and colour was my perception in capturing this stunning image. To capture the fast changing of the phenomenon within a split of a second is my challenge of practicing pictorial photography. I simply love the simplicity of good lighting contrast and colour of this corner of the landscape.
On 23 09 2023 at the Upper Peirce Reservoir, the remarkable cloud pattern matched well with the warm colour of rising sun. The phenomenon appeared right above the sky of the Reservoir. It was another setting ideally for an eye-catching image.
