Light House of Cape Leeuwin

The flowers were blooming when I revisited (last visit 1989) the light house of Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia in last November. Using the polarizer, I was able to darken the sky to a saturated blue that gave the image a much stronger visual impact. The gorgeous colors of the flowers are added bonus to this well lit light house of Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia.

Riding At the Birubi Point, Anna Bay

During our (with my wife and my son Dr. Tan Eng Loy, ARPS) visit to NSW, Australia in September 2003, we drove down to Anna Bay looking for the beach that was supposed to feature camel rides. Instead, we found a place for cart riding. Since the lighting was frontal, the trickiest part was to get an accurate exposure for the image. Careful selection of the spot meter reading based on the area of the rider would solve this problem. I like the colours and composition of this image. The rider and the cart coming into the frame have both undoubtedly added a touch of human interest and activity to the whole picture.
