Another Fireworks Display of National Day

Another Fireworks Display OF National Day
Usual practice of capturing fireworks display is to use bulb shutter for a time exposure of a few burst. Accuracy of exposure setting to capturing a good image is essential. Recently in capturing the display, I decided to set a short duration of exposure coupled with a fairly small aperture setting. I also selected low ISO setting. The result shown here was captured within a single frame. To me, there is no rigid rules to follow in exposure setting. Your exposure setting varies according to your situation in obtaining an optimum result.

The Night Still Young

The Night Still Young
On 6th August 2016 00:24:00 in my hotel room in Hong Kong, I was still awake. Surprising to note that quite a number of the flats opposite my window were still lighted. I decided to shoot a night scene of the city dwellers in Hong Kong. With the ISO set at 128000, I was able to capture the image with my camera handheld with a shuttle speed set at 1/10 sec. The end result is very satisfactory. In the olden days when I was using analogue, such an image under dim light condition was difficult to capture. What an advancement of photography in the present high tech era!
