Bluewater Lake State Park,Bluewater, New Mexico, USA, was not on my itinerary of recent USA trip. The state park is actually near Gallup, New Mexico. I saw it on the map. Since we were on the way to Albuquerque and we decided to drop in. To my surprise, the sky and the reflection of the lake was so beautiful when the weather was gloomy. My decision of exploring the park, ended with more awesome images.

In Singapore, a partial ban on firecrackers was imposed in March 1970 after a fire killed six people and injured 68. This was extended to a total ban in August 1972, after an explosion that killed two people and an attack on two police officers attempting to stop a group from letting off firecrackers in February 1972. Our Chinese business men believed that the longer the chain of crackers that they fired is a sign of prosperity and good luck for the coming year. I captured this image at Hong Kong Street, in 1970.
