I captured this image at the Festival on 25th Aug 1996. The PM and Ministers of Singapore kicked off the Festival at Marina South. As I was covering for the “Singapore Today” publication, I had a vantage angle to capture this image.(A series of Down The Memory Lane…….Singapaore in the nineties….No.13)
Just after our lunch break at the Jackcob Lake Inn,Arizona, USA. I came across some of the towering pines of the Kaibab National Forest,USA. Once again, the dramatic lighting condition attracted me to capture this image. I purposely positioned my angle to have the light coming from the back of the pine. To me, such an approach with a super wide angle lens captured the image with a strong visual impact.
As a matter of fact, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is just a scenic 44 mile drive from here.
After the cleaning up of Singapore River, in the eighties, fishing at the Esplanade was popular. I captured this image during that period. Our skyline has changed tremendously since then.
