A Dramatic Cloud Formation

I captured this image when we stopped for a afternoon coffee break on our way to Isleornsay in the Sleat peninsula of Skye. The spectacular cloud against the blue sky has created the strong visual impact for the image.

To me, the spectacular of sky is endless in the case of capturing an image of landscape with visual impact. The sky of Oban,Scotland, has no exception especially during the twilight time. I deliberately aimed from a vantage angle to include a seagull in flight as an added interest to this image.

In returning to Manchester from Isle Of Skye, we decided to spend a night at Lochgiphead,Scotland. Lochgilphead actually is a town and former burgh in Argyll, Scotland. It is the administrative centre of Argyll and Bute. The village lies at the end of Loch Gilp and lies on the banks of the Crinan Canal. We witnessed another awesome twilight when we stayed at the Corrie House B&B. The B&B is one of Britain’s finest that we have ever stayed. The warmness and friendliness of the host Joan & Barry made us feel at home. The comprehensive breakfast selection, personally prepared by Barry, features the best of fresh local produce to create scrumptious Scottish fare unrivalled in Argyll. From the tranquillity of the decked sun terrace, there are extensive views of the magnificent islands of Jura and Scarba (separated by the legendary Gulf of Corryvreckan – the largest whirlpool in Europe) and the Isle of Mull.
